IPC to Hold Public Hearing on Proposed Zoning Ordinance

IRONWOOD, MI - Friday, March 13, 2009 - NOTICE IS HEARBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing will be held by the Ironwood Planning Commission on Wednesday, March 18, 2009, beginning at 5:15 PM. Community Development Conference Room, 2nd Floor, Memorial Building, Ironwood, Michigan.

The purpose of the hearing is to introduce, review, and receive comment on repealing the current Zoning Ordinance (Chapter 34 of the City or Ironwood's Code of Ordinance) and enact a new Ordinance, Chapter 34, "Zoning," of the City of Ironwood Code of Ordinance.

Interested persons will have the opportunity to be heard at the time and place announce in this notice. No hearsay or individual surveys will be accepted as testimony; only written or oral presentations will be acknowledged. Written comments can be submitted to the Ironwood City Commission, Memorial Building, 213 South Marquette Street, Ironwood, Michigan  49938, prior to the scheduled Public Hearing; they may also be faxed to (906) 932-5745. A copy of proposed ordinance is on file and available for public inspection in the City Clerk's Office, Memorial Building, Ironwood, Michigan during normal business hours (7:30 AM to 4:00 PM).
