Superior Range Shooters to Hold Annual Meeting

IRONWOOD, MI - Friday, March 19, 2009 - The Superior Range Shooters Club will be holding its annual meeting and election of officers on Thursday March 26th, at Dudley ’s Saloon – Indianhead Mountain Lodge. Social hour begins at 6:00 PM with the meeting to follow at 7:00 PM. Snacks will be provided along with a cash bar. All club members are urged to attend. The Superior Range Shooters Club, Incorporated (a Michigan Corporation) was originally the Range Sportsman’s Club. Five years ago the Range Sportsman’s Club (a Wisconsin Corporation) started work on the existing shooting range located one half mile south of Copper Peak Ski Hill on Black River Road in Ironwood, MI. The club offers pistol, rifle, blackpowder, and shotgun ranges. The rifle shooters can engage targets from 100 to 300 yards. There are two trap ranges available, the second trap was completed in the summer of 2006. Trap league shoots Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 5:00 PM to dark and on Sunday’s from Noon until 4:00 PM. Alternating Monday evening’s club members conduct pistol shoots and .22-bench-rest skill shooting. Both events are open to the public. The club also sponsors shooting events for kids and women. They also provide instruction and education in firearm safety.
