Alzheimer's Project Begins Sunday, May 10th on HBO
CHICAGO, IL - Saturday, May 9, 2009 - Beginning tomorrow, HBO will be airing a series of documentaries about Alzheimer's Disease. The series is called The Alzheimer's Project. The video above really sends home the tragic message of Alzheimer's while showing the caring and sensitive way family members cope with disease. Inspired by Maria Shriver's book, "What's Happening to Grandpa?", this film tells five stories of children, ages 6-15, who are coping with grandfathers or grandmothers suffering from Alzheimer's disease. Maria Shriver provides commentary and delivers valuable "lessons" for the kids, urging them not to blame themselves for what their grandparents do or say.
