City to Address Long-Overdue Union Contracts Monday

IRONWOOD, MI - Friday, May 01, 2009 - A Special Meeting and Budget Workshop for the Ironwood City Commission will be held on Monday, May 4, 2009 at 5:30 PM in the City Commission Chambers, on the second floor of the Memorial Building, 213 South Marquette Street, Ironwood, Michigan  49938.

The purpose of the special meeting will be to consider ratification of AFSCME, Local 1538 and Ironwood Professionals Police Association Union Agreements.

According to the agenda, the Special Meeting will be called to order at 5:30 PM with the recording of the roll.

The Commission will then go into closed session to discuss the status of contract negotiations with AFSCME, Local 1538 and Ironwood Professionals Police Association Unions.

Following the closed session, the Commission will return to open session and consider the ratification of AFSCME Local, 1538 and Ironwood Professionals Police Association Union Agreements. They will also discuss and consider action regarding non-union salary adjustments before adjourning. According to the published agenda, the Budget Workshop will follow the Special Meeting of the City Commission.
