Save Doe with Bucks

IRONWOOD, MI - Monday, November 02, 2009 - Once again the Ironwood Downtown Merchants are bringing back the "Ironwood Christmas Bucks" promotion. The promotion is simple - if you buy products at a participating merchant you receive a "Christmas Buck" for every ten dollars you spend. That "Christmas Buck" entitles you to a $1 off a $10 dollar purchase at other participating merchants.

"The Ironwood Christmas Bucks a really great way to encourage shopping locally and downtown specifically. Because this year the promotion starts earlier and ends later there are more opportunities to redeem the Christmas Bucks" says Eva Smith Furgason who is organizing the promotion. "This year we so far have twenty eight participants and I'm still waiting to hear back from a few more, so if there is a downtown merchant you regularly patronize, ask them to be a part of this great promotion."

The list of participants in this years promotion is very varied so there really is something for everyone. Every Christmas Buck redeemed means that someone spent $1. less then they were going to - and because of the great variety of merchants participating you can save on everything from groceries, clothing -(new and used), furniture - (new and used), shoes, medications, musical instruments, crafting materials, fabric and then go and have lunch or dinner at any one of the six participating restaurants and still save! Last year merchants redeemed more than $1,266 Christmas Bucks, and this year with a full two months to use the bucks and new merchants participating - the returns will be even greater.
