Ironwood Elects New Mayor, Two Incumbents & Three Newcomers
BESSEMER, MI - Tuesday, November 03, 2009 - Almost 29% of registered Ironwood voters went to the polls today to elect a new City Commission. Incumbent Bob Burchell was the top vote-getter with 677 votes. According to the City Charter, this entitles Burchell to be the City's Mayor.
The mayor pro tem, the second highest vote getter, is newcomer Rick Semo -- elected with 608 votes. The other Commissioners elected are: William D. Lucius (571 votes); Kim S. Corcoran (533 votes); and Incumbent Gemma Gorrilla Lamb (494 votes).
