Polar Bears Take Two Games From Iron Mountain Saturday

IRON MOUNTAIN, MI - Sunday, November 29, 2009 - On Saturday the Polar Bears won both games in Iron Mountain 9-4 and 6-5. The games were highlighted with unbelievable goaltending by Matthew Clemens who made 33 saves on the day. The scoring was highlighted with 8 goals by Caleb Baxter, 4 goals by Warner "the Freak" Young, each tallying a goal was Cade Mazzon, Brett heil, Gavin Mattson. Assisting on the goals was Tyler Morrison with 5 assists, Young with 4, Mattson with 3, also gaining an assist was Nathan Garnell, Robert Baross, C.J. Sorensen, Mitch Hissa, Heil, and Baxter. Baxter and Young had hat tricks on the day and Morrison, Mattson, and Young had play makers.

"I was really proud of the team today to come to Iron Mountain and win both games which has not been done since I have been coaching. I think they are gaining confidence and their work on and off the ice is starting to pay off." said coach Scott Kellett.

The Polar Bears play next Saturday at home at 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM against Price Ice (Park Falls) who are undefeated this year and Sunday at Iron River, Michigan.
