Valve Replacement Could Lead to Water Discolorization & Disruption

IRONWOOD, MI - Tuesday, November 10, 2009 - A series of water main valves will be installed on the transmission lines serving the residents in the City of Ironwood during the weeks of November 9-13 and November 16-20. This project is designed to isolate water service in select areas during the repair.

Customers in these areas should expect some water service disruption and discoloration until the project is completed. You may contact the City of Ironwood at (906) 932-5050 if you have any questions.

Below is a tentative schedule of the water main valve project:

Monday (November 9th) - Hedin Avenue from Lake Street / West to dead-end.

Wednesday (November 11th)  - Lake Street & US-2 Intersection - from US-2 to Margaret

Friday (November 13th) - Lake Street & Margaret Street Intersection - from Margaret to US-2.

Monday (November 16th) - Lake Street & Margaret Street Intersection - from Margaret to US-2.

Tuesday (November 19th) - Lake Road and Slade Road Intersection

Friday (November 20th) - Lake Road and Slade Road Intersection
