Heavy Snow Blankets Ironwood Over the Weekend
IRONWOOD, MI - Monday, October 26, 2009 - Heavy, wet snow blanketed Ironwood over the weekend. Just outside of Ironwood, however, there was little, if any snow. There was no snow at Saxon Harbor, very little in Saxon, but the snowfall was significant in Ironwood. Trees and branches were down all over town. The river has risen over the spillway. The rest of the week promises to be a little bit warmer, but rain and snow are forecast for Thursday and Friday: Rest of Today - Patchy fog early. A slight chance of rain early. Patchy drizzle early. A slight chance of rain showers through early afternoon. Mostly cloudy. Highs around 44. Light winds. Chance of rain 20 percent. Tonight - Mostly cloudy through midnight then becoming partly cloudy.
