Jacquart Fabric Products to Hold Job Fair

IRONWOOD, MI - Friday, October 16, 2009 - Ironwood’s Jacquart Fabric Products is holding a job fair to over the next several weeks. During these unstable economic times, the firm is working hard to ensure continued growth and prosperity. This job fair will give serious job seekers an opportunity to learn about the employment opportunities at JFP.

The job fair will include a company overview, facility tour and even some hands-on opportunities to try out the company’s industrial sewing machines. Jobs are available in sewing, shipping, assembly, cutting and inspecting. JFP also trains new employees, so no experience is required.

JFP is opening its doors to educate the community on what exactly is manufactured at JFP and the jobs required to take a product from start to finish. According to Kari Jacquart, HR Director of Jacquart Fabric Products, “In the next few months, we plan on aggressively pursuing some new contracts. Before doing so, we need to understand if the necessary workforce is available in our community and the surrounding areas.” The job fair will be held in the upcoming weeks at various dates and times. Says Jacquart, “We tried to select a variety of dates and times that would allow interested job seekers at least one option that fits with his or her schedule.”

The four dates and times are as follows:

Wednesday, October 21st 1:30-3:00
Tuesday, October 27th 11:30-1:00
Friday, October 30th 1:30-3:00
Saturday, October 31st 10:00-11:30

The job fair will be held at JFP II, which is located at 1234 Wall Street.
