Signs of the Season

BESSEMER, MI - Thursday, September 10, 2009 - Like it or not, fall is on the way... which of course means that winter is not far behind. Leaves throughout the region are already starting to change color. Cool nights have triggered the change. Daytime temperatures have been moderate. In this reporter's mind, I have two favorite "half-seasons." Late spring -- once all of the mud and melting snow disappears and early fall -- before the leaves fall off the trees are two of the most enjoyable times of the year.
