Unearthed Chest Freezer In Saxon Contains Bodies

SAXON, WI - Tuesday, September 15, 2009 - Rumors have been going around that a chest freezer containing human remains was unearthed in Saxon when a local resident was digging post holes for a fence.

The Chronicle received several emails regarding this rumor, so we did some investigating. According to the Iron County Sheriff's Department, there is partial truth to the rumor. Yes, a chest freezer with remains was unearthed in Saxon, but the remains turned out to be dog remains, not human.
