Forest Service Road Work to Begin

IRONWOOD, MI - Wednesday, September 23, 2009 – The Ottawa National Forest is beginning road work on several Forest Roads beginning September 21 and continuing through November 20, 2009.

Travelers should be prepared for intermittent road closures for road rehabilitation work including, gravel, culvert replacement, and hazard tree removal. Work will be completed on the following roads:

  • Forest Road 630, north of Bergland near the Trap Hills/Norwich area.
  • Forest Road 6110, northwest of Watersmeet between Old US 2 and County Road 206
  • Forest Road 1460, north of Kenton, off of Forest Highway 16
  • Forest Road 3270, north of US Highway 2 between Forest Highway 16 and County Road 657

Work is underway on FR 630 and FR 6110 at this time and will soon start on the other roads. If you have any questions regarding this work, please contact your local Forest Service office.
