Commonality Revealed!
IRONWOOD, MI - Thursday, September 10, 2009 - The Chronicle received nearly two hundred guesses in our "What Do These People Have In Common?" contest. Many very creative answers were posted, however, nobody was able to guess the commonality. Prior to my last hint -- the fact that I was a member of the elite group of 591 people in the United States -- guesses included: relatives killed in the Middle East; negative Rh Factor in the blood; left-handed; same blood type; rare blood type (AB); four generations of the same family; all previously featured in the Chronicle; 911 victims; Ironwood residents (past and present); and of course the obvious -- all males; all smiling; all have teeth, ears, eyes, nose, etc. After my last hint, responses included: they are all deaf; the share the same birth date; they are all organ donor recipients; they all have six toes on their left foot; they are all infected with noroviruses; they are all a**holes; and "LOL Based on what I read in the glob and your last clue... these are former 'companions' of Steve Frank." Well, here's the real answer... the twenty-one people featured in the photo collage belong to a group of 591 people in the United States that share my name -- "James Albert." Statistically the most popular first name in the U.S. is "James." There are 5,114,522 "James'" throughout the nation. 99.7 percent of people with the first name "James" are male. There are 35,502 people in the U.S. with the last name "Albert." It's the 1028th most popular last name. To see how many people share your name visit http://howmanyofme.com/. |
