Caves Clean-Up to Be Held Saturday, May 1st

IRONWOOD, MI - Wednesday, April 28, 2010 - The Friends of the Miners Memorial Heritage Park (FMMHP) has organized a Caves clean up for Saturday, May 1st. Many of you have read about the wonderful progress that was made last week during the clean up organized by the Gogebic Range Trail Authority and the Norrie Club and we commend them for their efforts. The FMMHP is launching another effort to clean up the decades of dumping that has taken place in the heart of our City. Please join us from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM to clean up Ironwood's historic mining area.

Meet at the bus garage on Ayer Street. Trash bags and maps showing the focus area will be supplied. Bring work gloves and water.

The clean up will be followed by a barbeque in appreciation of everyone's efforts. Hope to see you there!
