Announcing New “Beautiful Northwoods Adventure” Website

HURLEY, WI - Saturday, April 10, 2010 - A new website promoting the Gogebic Iron Range as a place to live was recently created and launched by the Gogebic Range Next Generation Initiative.

The website, entitled “Beautiful Northwoods Adventure”, promotes Iron County, Wisconsin and Gogebic County, Michigan. Its target market is young people seeking an adventure lifestyle.

“Our research has told us that people moving to our area are seeking the outdoor, nature-based recreational activities that we are best known for,” said Will Andresen, Community Resource Development Educator with Iron County UW-Extension. “By promoting what we’re already good at, we aim to attract even more young people to live and work here.”

To help promote the site, the Next Generation Initiative printed oval, European-style “Fe” bumper stickers with the website’s address. “Fe” stands for “Iron” in the periodic table. Iron represents the history and culture of the Gogebic Iron Range. And “Fe” is an integral part of the “Live LiFe” future of the Gogebic Iron Range.
