Gile Flowage Water Level Excessively Low

HURLEY, WI - Monday, April 5, 2010 - Climate change? The water levels are unusually low on the Gile Flowage for this time of the year. The grassy shores, high water lines on the rocks and bridge, and the exposed culvert show the low level. Landing a larger boat on the blacktop dike may be difficult for this year's opener unless we get more rain. There is very little snow left in the woods for any significant runoff.
