Walk Michigan Trip Winner Announced!

IRONWOOD, MI - Saturday, August 14, 2010 - Linda Jindrich of Ironwood was the lucky winner of the Grand Prize trip for two to Mackinac Island this Labor Day weekend. Linda was one of ninety-five that participated in the Walk Michigan Event sponsored by Grand View Health System and Friends of the Miners Memorial Heritage Park on July 22 in Ironwood.

Over a half a dozen Walk Michigan events took place in the U.P. from May through July 31, 2010 March. Only one grand prize winner was drawn. Locally, Grand View Health System also hosted a worksite walk for employees on National Employee Health and Fitness Day, May 19. Thirty-seven walkers participated in this event. The Walk Michigan grand prize was funded by MRPA (Michigan Recreation and Park Association), Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and the Wellness Council of the Upper Peninsula (WELCUP).
