Volunteers Ring Salvation Army Bell In Marge Clemens Honor

IRONWOOD, MI - Tuesday, December 21, 2010 - Each year the Ironwood Volunteer Fire Department takes an entire day and "rings the bell" for the Salvation Army in memory of the late Marge Clemens who virtually "was" the Salvation Army in our area for many years. You may notice the Salvation Army van has the name "Marge" painted on the driver's door. That's for Marge Clemens.

We do it in thanks for the many times Marge was there for the fire department, never asking for anything in return. We do it to be there at least once each year for Marge.

A huge thanks to all the Ironwood Volunteer Fire Department (IVFD) members, friends and family who rang the bell for the Salvation Army today. John Olkonen, Barb Allen, Dennis Hewitt, Danielle Sandmon, Bob & Zach Brentar, Bob Tervonen, Spencer Castle, Jamie Peite, Mike Wiemeri, Chris & Brandie Cox and Brooklynn Sherwood.
