If You Don't Buy Our Nuts... Your Nuts

IRONWOOD, MI - by Merritt Bussiere - Sunday, December 5, 2010 - The nuts are in! I want to be clear that the “nut” reference is to food products – not to any Kiwanis Club members you may know.

If you’re familiar with this annual fundraising event, you’ll know that excellent quality nuts are available for purchase at $9.00 a pound. Proceeds from this Ironwood Kiwanis Club fundraiser – last year a few thousand dollars – go to support programs for children in the area. Varieties include:

• Giant Cashews
• Honey-Roasted Cashews
• Milk Chocolate Bridge Mix
• Dark Chocolate Bridge Mix
• Colossal Natural Pistachios
• Deluxe Nut Mix (with No Peanuts)
• Sweet & Salty Trail Mix
• Roasted Whole Almonds

Each of these varieties is available at the Community Development Office. If I run out of a particular variety, I can get you more……well, up to a point. Once we run out, that’s it for the year. So don’t hesitate, buy these great snacks while they’re available. If you email me your order ahead of your arrival, I can set your stuff aside. You can store any variety in the refrigerator to extend shelf life.
