Frozen Minnow Triathlon Slated for March 6th at GCC

IRONWOOD TOWNSHIP, MI - Monday, February 15, 2010 - The Frozen Minnow Triathlon will be held on Saturday, March 6th beginning at 9:00 AM at the Mt. Zion Ski Area and GCC Pool. The Frozen Minnow Triathlon consists of a 2k cross country ski at Mt. Zion ski area, a one mile run, and a 200-yard swim in the GCC pool.

The race is designed for kids 16 and younger, but all ages are welcome to participate! Participants can compete as individuals or as part of a team. The entry fee for the race is $10.00 and all participants will receive medals.

Registration for the event will be held between 9:00 AM and 9:45 AM in the lobby of the Lindquist Center at Gogebic Community College on the day of the race. Registration forms can be picked up at the Jim Oliver Accounting Office or downloaded on line at: www.gogebic.cc.mi.us.
