Ironwood Economic Development Corporation Holds Special Meeting

IRONWOOD, MI – by Keri Singleton – Friday, February 19, 2010 - There was a special meeting of the Ironwood Economic Development Corporation (IEDC), at 1:30 PM yesterday. The meeting was held in downtown Ironwood, Michigan, in the Community Development Conference Room on the second floor of the Memorial Building.

All IEDC members were present except Tom Schneller.

No citizens were present wishing to address the Corporation on agenda items.

There was one agenda item: Consider Resolution(s) of Intent to Transfer CDBG-Capitalized Revolving Loan Fund to a Western Upper Peninsula Regional Revolving Loan Fund.

City Attorney A. Dennis Cossi recommended that the following sentence be removed: (Intends to sign an Interlocal Agreement transferring the _________ of ________CDBG assets to the regional revolving loan fund.)

A motion was made to adopt the resolution of intent with a modification as recommended by the city attorney, contingent upon the city manager verifying with other entities that they have adopted a similar resolution.

Scott Erickson, City Manager, will make the calls to the other entities. Roll call vote passed with 5 yes votes and 2 no votes. Motion carried.

The matter will be put before the City Commission at Monday night’s meeting.
