Ironwood High School Quickly Responds to Editorial

Dylan Korpela-Jorgenson Gets the Attention He Deserves

IRONWOOD, MI - Thursday, February 11, 2010 - Linda Jorgenson, Dylan Korpela-Jorgenson's mother, contacted the Chronicle's reporter, Keri Singleton, yesterday to report that -- thanks to Keri's editorial -- Dylan is now getting the help he needs and deserves from the Ironwood Area School District. Linda told the Chronicle that she got full action immediately after the editorial appeared -- the principal called her at her house, the superintendent called her at her work, and both a tutor and a make-up tutor were sent to help Dylan the following day.

Linda felt that it was important to let our readers know how the school so quickly reacted to Keri's editorial.  She also wanted to pass along a big "Thank you!" to the Ironwood High School for stepping up to the plate and doing right by Dylan. Now Dylan can get on with what is important to him -- learning.
