HURLEY, WI - Tuesday, January 5, 2010 - Members of the Hurley Lions Club braved the frigid cold weather on Saturday, January 2 to grill hot food for day one of the Seventh Annual Stormy Kromer Pursuit Nordic ski race. At the grill are Bob Traczyk, Joe Radomski, and Mike Saari bundled up to serve steaming hot bratwurst and hot dogs to the skiers. Also pictured are some of the racers who briefly stopped for a photo before the start of the classic Nordic race. The 9k race started at the Rose Wreath building in Montreal, Wisconsin. On day two the 14km freestyle event again received a hand by the Hurley Lions Club who served hot pasties, bratwurst, hot dogs and drinks at the Mercer Community Building. The two day event was a sell out and a great success as the Lions Club served nearly 200 hot entres. Hurley Lions members helping out in Mercer were Jerry Pisani and Bob Traczyk.
