O'Reilly Auto Parts -- Exceptional Service

IRONWOOD, MI - by Keri Singleton - Monday, January 25, 2010 - Since opening last September, O’Reilly’s Auto Parts has offered exceptional customer service to the area. Located at 325 East Cloverland Drive, Ironwood, Michigan, O’Reilly’s is the perfect stop for all of your auto parts needs. From fuel pumps to floor mats, it can be found at O’Reilly’s.

Business is going good, according to the staff. The economy has forced people to hang onto their cars longer, for one reason. One of the other reasons has to be the helpful, knowledgeable manner of the workers. I was fortunate enough to stop in on a day when Mark Van Hoecke Sr., District Manager, was in the store. Mark, along with everyone else, was extremely helpful, providing information about O’Reilly’s, and their services. O’Reilly’s started in 1957, and has turned into a huge, approximately 3,500 store nationwide chain, making them the second largest auto parts company in the United States. The first retail store didn’t open until 1981, and the company didn’t go public until 1993. They now enjoy a 50/50 mix of wholesale and retail business, something noone else has been able to do. Half the business is local garages, and the other half is walk-in business.

O’Reilly’s employs seven full-time local people, a fact that they are rightly proud of, with full benefits. Scott Casari is the manager, Rick Hollsten is the assistant manager, retail service specialists are: Liam Fuller and Derek Zimmer, parts specialists are: Wes Acton and George Rosario, and Ken Jacobson is the store’s delivery specialist.

Among the services offered at O’Reilly’s; there is free testing of starters, modules, and alternators, free used oil and battery disposal for customers, turning of drums and rotors, free delivery from Wakefield to Pence for installers, and wiper installation when needed. With a huge inventory, O’Reilly’s can meet most any part need, and if they can’t, they will order whatever is needed, for next day delivery in most cases. The staff is well-trained and eager to meet any auto parts need anyone could have. The well-kept front room is inviting, and extensive.

A new O’Reilly’s will be opening this summer in Ashland, Wisconsin, on Lakeshore Drive, and Mark Van Hoecke will be overseeing it as well, along with the stores in Northwestern Wisconsin, to Northeastern Minnesota.

O’Reilly’s hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 7:00 AM -7:30 PM, and 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM. on Sunday.

You may reach O’Reilly’s at (906) 932-0552.
