Local Firefighters Quickly Extinguish Difficult Afternoon "Caves" Fire

IRONWOOD, MI - Thursday, July 1, 2010 - Area firefighters (both the IPSD and IVFD) promptly arrived to the "Caves" area at approximately 1:00 PM this afternoon to battle an apparent arson fire. The fact that the fire was in a deep ravine made fighting the blaze problematic. Flames were quickly extinguished using the City's new ladder truck, however.
