Double Murder Suspect Found Dead

RAMSAY, MI - Thursday, July 8, 2010 - 3:46 PM - The Superior Chronicle has just been informed that Steven Joseph Dianich was found dead behind a church in Ramsay.

Five days of searching for the double murder suspect Steven Joseph Dianich came to an end today. On Saturday, July 3rd,  46-year-old Scott Udd and 52-year-old Jon Lund were found dead in Udd's home in Bessemer Township. Dianich was the prime suspect in the murders.

According to Michigan State Police Detective Sergeant Ken Walker, the body was found in dense foliage behind a Lutheran church in Ramsay just 300 yards away from the crime scene. This afternoon, Police  found  the body matching Dianich’s description and recovered a gun. After preliminary investigations, police believe Dianich used the gun to take his own life. According to reports, Dianich's girlfriend and the two victims were at Udd's home when Dianich allegedly came and shot and killed both men.

At approximately 5:30 PM, Michigan State Police confirmed the body they found to be that of  murder suspect Steven Dianich.
