FMMHP Bessemer Parade Float Work Bee Slated for Today

BESSEMER, MI - Thursday, July 1, 2010 - The Friends of the Miners Memorial Heritage Park (FMMHP) will have a float in the 2010 Bessemer 4th of July Parade.

The float will be similar to that used during the Jack Frost Parade, with the reconstructed timber headframe / pulleys.

Volunteers are needed to assemble the float. A float construction workbee to be held on: Thursday, July 1, at the home of Ron and Marlene Zaleski (663-4453), 500 West Lead Street, Bessemer, Michigan.

Volunteers are also needed to walk along with the float during the parade. Participants may dress in old mining gear. Parade participants should meet by the float no later than 6:20 PM on Sunday, July 4th in Bessemer.

Call Ron or Marlene Zaleski at 663-4453 if you can either participate in the parade or help with the work bee.
