E-Commerce & Experiential Marketing Workshop Planned

BESSEMER, MI - Wednesday, March 31, 2010 - Business owners and entrepreneurs constantly need to assess their business climate and strategies to successfully compete in a global economy while expanding their business market.

To assist local new and existing businesses MSU Extension is offering a workshop on “Strengthening Competitive Advantages of Rural Businesses With e-Commerce and Experience Economy Strategies”. The workshop will take place on Monday, April 12, beginning at 6:30 PM at Gogebic County MSU Extension, located in the Natural Resources Center, 500 North Moore Street, Bessemer.

Julie Melchiori, Extension Director from Iron County Michigan, will assist participants in learning how economic value has evolved from commodities to goods and services. As part of the training, attendees will learn:

  • Introducing Experience Economy Strategies
  • Adding Value to Rural Businesses using Experience Economy Strategies
  • Aligning Experience Economy Strategies of the Business and E-Commerce Website
  • Assessing Experience Economy Strategies of the Business
  • Assessing Experience Economy Strategies of the E-commerce Website
