International Demolition Derby Rules Released for UP State Fair
ESCANABA, MI - Saturday, May 29, 2010 - The Truck and Van rules for the International Demolition Derby that will take place during the UP State Fair this August have been released, marking the beginning of registration for the event. The Demolition Derby will take place on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 7:00 PM with total prize money at $1500. The entry fee for the Derby is $20.00. The rules for the Truck and Van Demolition Derby follow many of the same regulations as regular Demolition Derby, but there are some exceptions. One of the main regulations requires all trucks and vans to run on gasoline, and no diesel vehicles are allowed. Other regulations include replacement of the stock gas tank with a portable marine tank that may only be bolted on certain areas of the vehicle, bumpers must be OEM and no homemade bumpers will be permitted, and all trucks or SUVs must be rear-wheel drive, and four-wheel drive vehicles must be approved. Other regulations dealing with battery placement, truck bed modification and rules for vans and SUVs are included in the bulletin.
