Indianhead First to Open in Big Snow Country
WAKEFIELD, MI - Tuesday, November 30, 2010 - Ski and snowboard season is officially starting in Big Snow Country. Indianhead Mountain Resort opens for its 51st skiing and snowboarding season this Friday, December 3rd. To celebrate the opening, anyone with a season’s pass from any of the Upper Peninsula’s other great ski areas can purchase a lift ticket for only $25 December 3-5th. Valid pass must be provided at time of purchase. Indianhead will also offer its popular “Local’s Special” on Wednesday and Sundays for residents of residents of Gogebic, Iron MI and WI, Vilas, Ontonagon, Oneida, Ashland, Bayfield, Price and Lincoln counties. $25 includes lift and ski rental. Indianhead Mountain Resort is a ski and snowboard resort located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula offering 29 downhill skiing slopes, 638 vertical feet sand an average of 17 feet of snow per year.
