Reception at GCC Planned for Rear Admiral Steven Day

IRONWOOD TOWNSHIP, MI - Tuesday, October 19, 2010 - Gogebic Community College is hosting an informal reception for United States Coast Guard Rear Admiral Steven Day on Thursday, October 21 from 1:30-3:00 p.m. in the Lindquist Student Center Lounge. Area veterans and the public are invited to meet RADM Day, who is a former Samson basketball player and graduate of GCC. He will be awarded the Distinguished Alumnus Award at the annual GCC Foundation Banquet later that evening.

RADM Day’s most recent assignments have been in Haiti and in the Gulf Coast.
