You Can Help W/M Schools Get New Desks In Bing's "Our School Needs" Contest

WAKEFIELD, MI - by Josh Kodis - Tuesday, October 19, 2010 - A couple of weeks ago I was asked to help Wakefield-Marenisco School submit a video, photos and essay for a chance to win $100,000 in a contest sponsored by Microsoft and Bing.

The rules of the contest were simple, show why your school needed the money. My sister and second grade teacher Beth Billie knew I would be the perfect person to help. And why not? Telling stories is what I do. I was more than happy to donate time and talents to help the school. My sister and other teachers had no doubt about where the money would go if our entry won. Once I showed up to film, I knew too, the schools desks are in terrible condition.

With the help of a few teachers and the acting talents of a few students, we produced a solid video and photos to show just how bad of shape the desks are. But I won't waste time telling you just how bad the schools furniture is, you can see for yourself. Please take the time to view and vote for our entry and spread the word to others.
