2010 Bessemer Pumpkinfest Car Show in A Pumpkin Patch Results Announced
Rick Tippett, Ironwood, took first place “Peoples’ Choice” honors at the 2010 Bessemer Pumpkinfest Car Show in a Pumpkin Patch on Saturday, October 9, with his totally loaded 1938 Chevrolet Panel Truck. BESSEMER, MI - Monday, October 11, 2010 - Mother Nature shined down gloriously on the “Car Show in a Pumpkin Patch” this year at the 32nd Annual Bessemer Pumpkinfest on Saturday. A record 69 vehicles registered for the Klassic Kruisers Car Club show and they completely filled the Bessemer Auto lot on the corner of US 2 and Sophie Street. Several hundred people cast their ballots for the coveted “People’s Choice” trophies. First place went to the perennial favorite 1938 Chevy Panel Truck owned by Rick Tippett of Ironwood, with second place going to a tricked out 1934 Ford Roadster owned by Jeff Wiemeri, also of Ironwood. Best in Class and Outstanding in Class trophies, sponsored by Stempihar BP of Bessemer, were awarded in each of ten classes, with the voting on these being done by the show participants themselves. Winners for 2010 were as follows, with Best in Class listed first and Outstanding in Class listed second:
The annual “Car Show in a Pumpkin Patch” is co-sponsored by the Klassic Kruisers Car Club, PumpkinFest Committee, and Stempihar’s BP Station and is hosted by Rocky Racovitis and the Bessemer Auto Company.
