Car Crash Victim's Name Released

WAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI - Friday, October 29, 2010 - The Gogebic County Sheriff's Department is continuing its investigation into an early morning crash that took the life of an Iron River, Wisconsin man.

The initial investigation reveals that William L. Forslund, 50 years of age, was killed when he lost control of his vehicle on M-28 near the Gogebic County line. Forslund was ejected from the vehicle and died of his injuries at the scene. Jill L Schumann, of Wyocena, WI, was a passenger in the vehicle. She was transported to Aspirus - Grandview Hospital by Beacon Ambulance where she was treated and released.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by Advanced Accident Investigators from the Michgan State Police - Wakefield Post.
