Car Show In a Pumpkin Patch - Saturday, October 9th
BESSEMER, MI - Thursday, September 30, 2010 - You'll find more than the Great Pumpkin in the Pumpkin Patch on Saturday, October 9, in Bessemer. The annual Bessemer Pumpkinfest "Car Show in a Pumpkin Patch" is set for 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Bessemer Auto lot on the corner of US 2 and Sophie Street kitty-corner from the Dairy Queen. The Klassic Kruisers Car Club, along with Bessemer Auto Company, Stempihar BP and the Pumpkinfest Committee, invite everyone to tour the array of antique, classic, and custom automobiles that will be on display. Everything from Model A's of the 30's to muscle cars of the 70's and everything in between and after will be there. Spectators are asked to cast their ballots for their favorite car on display, as two People's Choice Trophies will be awarded. Registration for the show runs from 9:00 a.m. to noon, with trophy presentations at 3:00 p.m. "Best in Class" and "Outstanding in Class" trophies will be awarded in ten classes, with voting done by show participants. There is a $5 entry fee. Trophies are co-sponsored by the Stempihar BP Station. Music of the 50's and 60's will treat your ears, while the beautiful automobiles on display will treat your eyes. Vehicles are expected from the Gogebic Range and throughout the tri-state area. You can also try your voice at karaoke throughout the day - with all types of music available.
