October 6th Is Ironwood Area Schools Walk to School Day

IRONWOOD, MI - Thursday, September 30, 2010 - The second annual Ironwood Area Schools Walk to School Day is on Wednesday October 6th, 2010. The meeting time is at 7:45 AM in the Lahti’s parking lot in downtown Ironwood. The walkers will begin on their paths to school at 8:00 AM, accompanied by teachers, parents and community members. Parents are encouraged to join their students for this early morning walk to school. Students who are normally bused to school will be dropped off at the Walk to School meeting point so they too can join in the fun. Walk to School Day is the first event for Safe Routes to School.
