Grand View Health System Auxiliary Donates New Wheelchairs

IRONWOOD, MI - Sunday, September 13, 2010 - The Grand View Health System recently received ten new wheel chairs, thanks to the generous donation of the Grand View Health System Auxiliary.

Carol D’Alberto, President of the Grand View Health System Auxiliary Board stated, “Requests to purchase items for patient care and safety are given top priority by the GVHS Auxiliary.”

This is just one of many contributions the auxiliary has given to the health system over the years. The auxiliary has several fund raisers throughout the year, including the upcoming Holiday Bazaar on Friday, November 12th. Every time you support the auxiliary, you are helping to support the Grand View Health System.

Jerry Suzik, pictured above, was instrumental in creating an up to date inventory of all the wheelchairs throughout the health system. Jerry has made it his personal responsibility to maintain and assure that all the wheelchairs are in safe working order. Wheelchairs are available for Grand View patients and are located near the entrances in the hospital and the clinics.
