Off to the Districts February 18- 20

IRON MOUNTAIN, MI - February 8, 2011 - The Polar Bear Squirts won the championship in Iron Mountain this past Sunday 6-0 vs Iron River.

The Polar Bears also won games vs Calumet 10-4, Binks 11-4, Halls Ortho 5-0 and 6-0 in the championship game vs Iron River.

Matthew Clemens was in net for all 4 wins. Goals were scored by Ethan Roehm (11), Tyler Morrison (8), Caleb Baxter and Nathan Garnell each with 5, Sydnee Lorenson (2), David Collins had one goal. Assists were tallied by Baxter (7), Morrison, Garnell and Roehm each with 6 assists, Bret Heil (5),C J Sorensen and Tommy Lundin each with 2, and Hanna Koivisto and D. Collins each with 1.

"The players really did a great job this weekend. They played with a lot of heart." said coach Scott Kellett. The Squirts now head into districts Feb 18th-20th.
