Upper Peninsula International Raceway Revs Up for Trade Show and Swap Meet

ESCANABA, MI - Sunday, February 20, 2011 - The Delta County Commerce Center and Upper Peninsula International Raceway Volunteers are in the final stages preparing for the first annual Motorsports Trade Show and Swap Meet on March 5th at the Ruth Butler Building at the UP State Fairgrounds, 2401 12th Avenue North, Escanaba. The show runs from 9 AM to 5 PM EST with Bench Racing until 8 PM EST. Bringing all motorsports under one roof will allow vendors to display their products, organizations to promote their programs and racers to sell their spare parts.

The event will feature racing accessories, parts, vehicles, safety equipment, graphics, apparel, vinyl lettering and a host of motorsports related organizations. A car corral will be set if needed. Booths are $25 for 10x10 spaces which includes table, chairs, electric, internet access and two $5 admissions, or $40 for 10x20 spaces which includes the same.

Concessions, kids’ activities, door prizes, 50/50 raffles, auction and racing on a big screen TV will round out the event.

Vendors can access their space for set-up on Friday, March 4th from 3 to 8 PM EST or Saturday, March 5th at 8 AM EST. There will be no heat in the building Friday night, but vendors and exhibitors can park trailers and haulers overnight at the fairgrounds at their own risk. All items must be removed by 8 PM EST March 5th.

All proceeds go to the UPIR Track Development Fund for the future multi-use, multi-season motorsports facility at the Escanaba State Fairgrounds.
