Michigan Gas Prices Nearly 50 Cents Per Gallon Higher Than Last Year
DETROIT, MI - Monday, January 24, 2011 – Average retail gasoline prices in Michigan have fallen 2.2 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.11/gallon yesterday. This compares with the national average that has increased 1.3 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.09/gallon, according to gasoline price website www.MichiganGasPrices.com. Including the change in gas prices in Michigan during the past week, prices yesterday were 49.4 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 4.8 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. The national average has increased 8.1 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 39.3 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
