Polar Bears Sweep Weekend Series

IRONWOOD, MI - Monday, January 10, 2011 - The Polar Bears are headed into the play downs next week on a good note. This past weekend they defeated Iron River 6-0, and 5-2, and defeated Negaunee's Ishpeming Concrete 9-0, and 9-0.

Matthew Clemens was in net for all 4 wins with 3 of them shutouts. Scoring goals for the Polar Bears were Tyler Morrison and Caleb Baxter each with 6, Nathan Garnell (5), Ethan Roehm (4), Tommy Lundin, Sydnee Lorenson, and CJ Sorensen each with 2, David Collins and Brett Heil each with a goal.

Assists were tallied by Baxter (9), Morrison (8), Garnell, Sorensen, and Roehm each with 3, Heil (2), Lundin, Lorenson, and Hanna Koivisto each with 1 goal.
