SISU's 10K Taste 'n Tour: A Race In Good Taste

IRONWOOD, MI - Wednesday, January 5, 2011 - One of the biggest successes of last year's SISU race was the 10K Taste 'n Tour. This is one race where everybody wins. It's a great way to get some exercise and to enjoy some great food from local eateries.

Coffee will be available at all stops courtesy of Tait’s Coffee Cabin.

Stop #1: Norrie Park Pavilion - Brewster’s Bar & Grill - Famous Chicken Wings; The Elk & Hound Restaurant - Caesar Salad;  Maplewood Steakhouse - Italian Salamini & Noodles; Steep Creek Cafe Soup, Fresh Bread, Hot Beverage.

Stop #2: Miners Memorial Heritage Park - Don & GG’s - Mexican Chicken Tortilla Soup, Hummus & Veggies/Bread; Mariachi Mexican Restaurant - Chimichangas & Tacos; Manny’s Restaurant - Homemade Gnocchi or Noodles with Red Sauce; Old Suffolk Ale House - Porketta Sandwiches.

Stop #3: Ironwood Schools Bus Garage - Breakwater Restaurant - Swedish Meatballs, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy Hot Chocolate; Golden Dragon Chinese Restaurant - General Tao’s Chicken, Fried Rice Crab Rangoons, Egg Rolls; The EC Deli - Roasted Italian Sausage Marinara & Bratwurst Sausage Alfredo.

Stop #4: Hiawatha Pavilion - Federico’s Royal Bakery & Mike’s Restaurant - Brownies & Assorted Bars; The Pastry Kitchen - Peanut Butter Bars & Cookies; The Pines Cafe - Hot Finnish Dessert; Rigoni’s Bakery - Rigoni’s Famous Weight Watchers Muffins.

Ben’s Place  will be serving Mojakka (Finnish beef stew) after the race at the Memorial Building.
